KI.FABRIK depends on a modular and partially autonomous infrastructure that can adapt to different use cases. The research goals and the industrial use cases guide the modularity of the KI.FABRIK Infrastructure project. The infrastructure will be composed of task-specific work cells. These cells are the core platforms for KI.FABRIK R&D Project’s research to take place and can be connected to each other in a modular way to implement the industrial use cases. Work cells will be both physical and digital. The interconnection among work cells distributed across different locations will be enabled by the 5G Campus Network.
The KI.FABRIK Infrastructure project is funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and the Bavarian Ministry of Science, Research and Art.
Duration: 4 years, starting in 2020
The KI.FABRIK Infrastructure project aims to build the interconnected platforms that will enable the RKI.FABRIK R&D project while implementing the use cases provided by the industrial partners.
